"Promo 2001" demo 4 (2001)

Notes on the recording:
"Our first demo in three years, after having done an EP and some compilation tracks in between, and I think it's REALLY noticeable. This time our song writing skills had gone forward quite a lot and this demo has two songs that we're still playing (and both were re-recorded for our first album) in "Dig the Lizard" and "Psi-Burn". This was also the first time we recorded a demo with Eronen on bass (and behind the knobs on his 8-track studio), as well as the first time we had a third guy writing riffs (Eronen's "Crystal Mountain Recolution" was recorded for this demo). 

The sound might be a bit bass heavy on this demo, but I think it kicks the earlier demo recordings' asses. I remember when we listened to the demo afterwards that I thought that "This is it!", we had arrived fully with the sound we always tried to create.

I also remember this recording being very fluid as the one being in the rehearsal room (where it was recorded) played whatever parts were necessary. So both me and Per did some bass stuff, Eronen did some guitars etc (I think it's him doing the solo on "Crystal..."). It was a good demo and a clear sign of what would come when it came to our music." (Sjöberg / 2015)
