"Sounds from the Barefoot Mountain" demo 6 (2002)

1. Buzz Amp.
2. Mind's Eye
3. Just a Planet
4. Barefoot

The band:

Sjöberg - Guitars & Vocals
Eronen - Guitars, Bass & Backing Vocals
Sundler - Drums & Percussion

Recorded in the rehearsal room with an 16-track studio, May 11,12,13 & 15 2002.

Notes on the recording:
"For the first time in a couple of years we were back as a trio again after Boder having left the band. Eronen took over the guitar position, as he really was  a guitarist to begin with. He also played the bass on the next three recordings as we either couldn't find a bassplayer or we just didn't bother looking for one at the time.

This demo feels more like the natural sequel to "Promo 2001" than what "Promo 2010" did. I think it's again more straight on and it has a nice mix of faster and dirtier tracks and slower and heavier ones. This time it was Eronen who stood for most of the music, I only did "Barefoot", but we traded endings, so he did the ending riff to "Barefoot" and I did the one for "Mind's Eye". And speaking of "Mind's Eye", listen for the Black Widow tribute in the beginning of the song... I played the opening "choir" part of the song "Come to the Sabbat" on my guitar.

And by the way, the demo was really meant to be called "Sounds from Barefoot Mountain", but our drummer (and then graphics guy) managed to add a "the" by mistake. It wasn't that much of a difference so we never corrected it." (Sjöberg / 2015)
